Success Rates
Success rates are an important factor when considering fertility treatment. At Thrive Fertility we have a purpose-built state-of-the-art laboratory with positive pressure ventilation, HEPA air-filtration and temperature control to achieve clean room ambient air quality that is optimal for sperm, oocyte and embryo handling. We opted to use Embryoscope time-lapse incubators to provide dynamic observation of embryo development within stable culture medium and data analysis of embryo morphokinetics to augment visual assessment and assist in embryo evaluation and pregnancy prediction.
While we use the best available equipment to improve your outcomes, there are other factors that influence IVF success. The most important factors influencing pregnancy rates include your age, weight and cause of infertility. Unfortunately, not every treatment cycle will result in an egg collection, fertilisation of eggs, an embryo transfer, embryo cryopreservation, pregnancy or live birth. You should discuss your specific clinical situation with your fertility specialist before proceeding with fertility treatment.
It can be difficult to compare IVF clinics, so the Australian Government has funded a website www.yourivfsuccess.com.au to provide independent information on all fertility clinics in Australia. All accredited IVF clinics are required to provide their treatment data to the University of NSW National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistic Unit for the publication of the annual Australian and New Zealand Assisted Reproduction Database (ANZARD) report.
As Thrive Fertility is a new facility, which only opened in 2024, success rate data will not be available on our website until pregnancies have resulted in live births for a complete reporting period of one year. We will share results with our patients using the same parameters used on www.yourivfsuccess.com.au, as the data becomes available.
The ‘Your IVF Success’ website also has an application to estimate your chance of achieving a pregnancy https:/www.yourivfsuccess.com.au/estimate/. The estimator uses the main factors that are known to be associated with the success of IVF treatment. The estimate generated is based on the information you enter, and the chance of a live birth based on women who have undergone fertility treatment in Australia with similar parameters.
